Below is an ongoing list of sites that I post weekly to my internal school blog for all of the teachers at my school. You can get a glimpse of the topics that are important to us in our context as well as some Spanish sites that you may not have known about! I am sharing them here for everyone to enjoy the collection as well! Check back each week for more!

Éste es un sitio en castellano sobre el sistema para ayudar a alumnos en buscar información en el Internet se llama "Competencia para Manejar Información-CMI". Este sitio explica que esta habilidad es algo importante para todos los profesores en el colegio y es algo los alumnos necesitan practicar diariamente. En adición, hay muchas sugerencias en cómo ayudar a los alumnos, cómo enseñar las habilidades a los alumnos, ejemplos de alumnos en diferentes fases del proceso de buscar información, y recursos para usar en tu sala. ¡Toda la información que tú necesitas está allí!
This is a site in English about how to make students be better online researchers. This explains very clearly why this is a necessary skill that all teachers are responsible for teaching our students. They give a short but concise checklist of steps that teachers should employ to consistently help students with their searching skills in school. In addition, they supply a good set of useful resources at the end to use with your students to help teach the skills they suggest.

Este es un sitio en castellano sobre una nueva tipo de presentación llamado Pecha Kucha. Este tipo de presentación es cuando una persona da información usando solo fotos o dibujos relevante, sin palabras. La idea es que la información y fotos estan concisa y en punto porque el formato es 20 dispositivos por 20 segundas por cada uno. En este sitio hay mucho información para el uso en educación y en el fin, hay enlaces para más información para crear y enseñar el formato. Este idea es muy útil como una herramienta para resumir información sobre una tema!
This is a site in English about a new type of presentation called Pecha Kucha. This type of presentation is whaen a person gives information only using relevant photos or drawings, without words. The idea is that the information and photos are concise and to the point because the format is 20 slides for 20 seconds each. In this site there is a lot of information about how it began, where you can find evenings where people practice, and examples of presentations that have been made by others. This idea is really useful as a tool for reviewing information about a topic!

Este es un sitio en castellano sobre ciudadanía digital y seguridad en línea llamado Common Sense Media. En este sitio hay muchos videos, clases y recursos que los profesores pueden utilizar para hacer frente a la idea de la ciudadanía digital. Algunas de las lecciones incluyen ideas sobre qué tipos de información para compartir en línea, la forma de abordar y detener el acoso cibernético, y cómo mantener el equilibrio en un mundo digital. Los recursos incluyen videos, planes de lecciones, folletos y carteles. Este es el sitio para utilizar cuando se necesita algo en el aprendizaje de manera responsable con la tecnología.
This is a site in English about digital citizenship and stay safe online called Common Sense Media. In this site there are many videos, lessons, and resources that teachers can use to address the idea of digital citizenship. Some of the lessons include ideas about what types of information to share online, how to address and stop cyberbullying, and how to maintain balance in a digital world. The resources include videos, lesson plans, handouts, and posters. This is THE site to use when needing something on learning responsibly with technology.

En este sitio, Dirección de Evaluación, se puede encontrar un multitud de información sobre evaluación en el aula. Hay información sobre evaluación diagnostica, formativa, y sumativa. El autór da preguntas para reflexionar y ejemplos en un clase de middle/high. El ejemplo de Evaluación Formativa es preciso y claro con fases operativas también.
This is a site in English about assessment for learning called Assessing Learning: The Missing Piece in Instruction. In this site the author looks at, in detail, the idea behind formative assessment and assessment for learning and gives clear step by step thinking processes on how to identify the curriculum targets, assess them formatively, and then make decisions to help students explore what aspects they need to learn further. They give both Elementary and Secondary ideas with examples.

En este sitio, Educar Chile, se puede encontrar un multitud de vídeos y información para Fiestas Patrias. Hay información sobre Chileans famosos, la Independencia, y ideas para celebrar adentro el colegio. En el fin hay un crucigrama para jugar con los alumnos tambien!
This is a site in English about Chile called Chilean National Day Quiz. In this interactive quiz students have to answer questions from the perspective of someone visiting Chile and answering some common questions about the typical celebrations. Its a good way to practice English as well as get an idea of how the country is viewed from an outsiders' perspective.

En este blog, Didactic Primaria, se puede encontrar un multitud de ideas sobre matemáticas en la aula. Según el blog "Por una integración de las TICs en Matemáticas fundamentada didáctica y metodológicamente. Análisis y valoración del interés didáctico y metodológico de contenidos educativos multimedia para el área de Matemáticas en la Etapa Primaria." Hay ideas para 4º y 5º básico y es útil para alumnos en la casa de middle para reforzarse conceptos de matemáticas tambien.
This is a great site to motivate students to write in a fun way called What If Genie. By clicking on the picture of the genie the site automatically generates a "silly" question to help kids write a fiction story, journal prompt, or simply start an oral discussion at their table. It's a great way to begin the day as morning work and allows students to express themselves and develop their creativity as well. Try it out... you'll start laughing too! :)

This blog gives simple but effective tips on how to organise and manage your email inbox more efficiently for a better workflow. Using tags and folders, the site explains how to follow a step by step weekly procedure to "get things done" without wasting extra time on email. You won't believe the results when you start using it!

En este sitio, Taxonomía de Bloom para la era Digital, se puede encontrar un multitud de información sobre la nueva configuración de Bloom con palabras más interactivo para alumnos. En este nuevo taxonomía, el foco es en utilizando diferentes tipos de aplicaciones o sitios de web2.0 para explorar las fases de pensamiento más util en el futuro de los alumnos. Hay un multitude de sugerencias para aplicaciones y links con más información. ¡Este es un tesoro de Bloom!
This is one of my favorite collections of sites called Blooms Taxonomy for 21st Century Learning. This is a list of some of the best sites on the Internet to help teachers apply technology and technology use through the Bloom's Taxonomy framework. The framework has been restructured to allow for more interaction and student centered learning in our digital world today. There are many excellent resources as well as lists of iPad apps that can be used to directly enhance thinking in the various Bloom's area. It's a gold mine of information!

Este sitio se llama, Recursos Educativos Digitales, es un producto del Ministerio de Educación y tiene muchos recursos y ideas para profesores. En esta pagina, hay enlances para seleccionar su area de trabajo a la izqierda. El sitio ofrecerte dos opciones de paginas: pagado o gratis. Tambien, todos los profesores quien usan el sitio, pueden votar para el recurso más util en sus clases. Por eso, podrias tener las recomendaciones de cientos de profesores en Chile y en el mundo!
This site offers 10 new and not so common tools to use as part of your move into Teacher 2.0! The site, Educational Technology and Mobile Learning, focuses on sharing good resources from the web for free. You should certainly take a look at the Text Translator to help students understand the different types of writing they need to be familiar with and the Our Story link. Online personal timelines can be made with Our Story and its a good way to help students understand timeline in a story from a character's point of view.

Este sitio se llama, Eduteka, tiene muchos recursos y ideas para colaborar para profesores. En esta pagina, hay botones haz click para seleccionar su area de trabajo. El sitio vas a darte articulos, recursos, y proyectos sobre tecnología adentro su área de trabajo. No es necesario para buscar en Google... todo lo que quiere esta allí!
This is a great site with a wealth of resources! The creator of this site, Adam Bellow, was last year's most influencial teacher from ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education) and created EduTecher as a way to help teachers share good resources from the web for free. This page is the EduTecher TV link which shows videos and slideshows on just about anything you can think of from the History of Technology in Education to Story Creating to Safe Searching for kids! Take a minute to check out the whole site.. you'll be glad that you did!

Este sitio es por fundación telefónica y tiene un encuentro que continuará todo este año. En este sitio ustedes pueden inscribir libre para el encuentro, los emails, webinars, y grupos donde podrían encontrar otros profesores desde Latín América quien quieren usar tecnología adentro las salas también. Hay un variedad de cosas como vídeos, presentaciones, y preguntas para responder y discutir con otros. Esta lleno con ideas y cosas muy útil!

Este sitio es un blog entry sobre PINTEREST, un nuevo sitio para colectar, organizar, y compartir información sobre un topic. Este blog tiene muchas ideas para el uso de pinterest en educación y tambien muchos ejemplos para profesores. Pinterest es muy útil para guardar información importante en el web para sus alumnos. El blog es muy útil también!
This site is similar to wikipedia but is more student friendly with more photos and less text. Called QWIKI, this reference site shows photos and reads the text to students so they can hear as well as read the information on the topic. At the bottom it offers additional resources that are related to the topic as well. A great multi-media knowledge experience!

Este sitio es del ministerio de educacíon y tiene mucho ideas y vídeos para sus clases. Los vídeos tienen guías y ideas para el AulaVisual. Haz click arriba en las pestañas y pueden buscar por vídeos de catálogo por autor, tema o canal. Tambíen, haz click el diseño EducarChile arriba en la izquierda para ver más recursos en los otros links que son maravilloso y utíl.
This is a site that gives an overview of QR codes, how to make one, and a few excellent reasons and ways to used them in your classroom. There are extra ideas to check out at the end in the comment section, including one that tells you how to use QR codes without a phone or mobile device! This is also the blog site from one of my favorite bloggers and well worth going back to read again!
